AMR burden, feasibility and cost-of-illness studies
In 2025, Anweshan’s work with IVI moved from data to impact.
- Completed
- 2025
- International Vaccine Institute
- Nepal
Overview
The team carried out a cost-of-illness study of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae at Bir Hospital and Seti Provincial Hospital, an AMR burden-of-disease analysis using the ACRON tool, and qualitative feasibility research. Together, these studies show what drug-resistant infections cost patients, hospitals and the health system.
Expertise
- Data management and analysis
- Feasibility study
- Qualitative research
How we worked
- 01
Ran a cost-of-illness study of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae at Bir Hospital and Seti Provincial Hospital.
- 02
Carried out an AMR burden-of-disease analysis using the ACRON tool.
- 03
Conducted qualitative feasibility research.
What it produced
- Cost-of-illness study
- AMR burden-of-disease estimates for Nepal
- Qualitative feasibility findings
